This is my 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th liter of the dark organic vanilla extract from Danncy's. The first liter was consumed within 3 years. The second liter is buried in my yard in a 55 gallon stainless steel UN approved barrel with a years quantity of non perishable emergency food. (Organic vanilla and organic honey that does not turn. They are buried with 100% gelatin powder, that never spoils, and included is a water purifier. I will not be a burden nor a food struggler should times continue to fail. I am retired...living within a 100% solar powered home within walking distance from the state capitol!) Albeit, the liter of Danncy's organic vanilla is of fine quality and taste. Historically, I utilized small quantities of imitation vanilla for my cooking, as needed. As I mentioned, organic vanilla from Danncy's tastes superior to imitation vanilla, while purchasing a quantity of organic vanilla from Danncy's has proved economical. It is more attractive to my health consciousness, too! Of note: imitation vanilla has a short shelf life. The Danncy's organic vanilla extract price was the same price three years ago. I have baked for many years. Tried all the grocers vanilla. None can even come close to this. For the taste{ which to me is most important}, for the quality and the value. Years we traveled to Acapulco and found this in the Super Super. Each year i would bring as many bottles home as i could. I would use all my white vanilla and was so excited to find it offered here. Now when i am at a half bottle i reorder quickly. All the pie crusts, cookies, frostings have an exceptional great taste. This is the very best vanilla on the planet! Excellent value to get 2 liters at this price. My baked goods beat the pants off of everyone else’s, and this is why. Get some; you will not be disappointed. But be warned, it’s strong. Use less than the recipe calls for. Even half the amount gives excellent flavor. Unless you own a bakery, one bottle lasts a very long time. I’ve been using this brand for over 10 years; flavor does not change over time.

I bought a small bottle of this vanilla at the grocery store and loved it. Unfortunately, my grocery store didn't carry it again and I have been looking for it for about a year. Don't know what made me think of ebay but I did and just got two large bottles. I love the flavor. It seems a little more complex and a hint of fruity compared to standard grocery store brands such as McCormicks. The large bottles are an exceptional value compared to a grocery store price..

Listing says that vanilla has a certain compound removed that causes bitterness. It does make a difference. This vanilla does not have a bitter after taste I've noticed in other brands I bought in Mexico. I really enjoy a little in my coffee for a "Mexican vanilla coffee" after dinner.
