My new Metal Detector Fisher F44 and My detecting finds short review
Introducing my new metal detector "Fisher F44" Man this detector is a lot of detector for the money and I tell ya, I really love it. You get a Crap ton of features for the money. Its weather proof,has a back light, iron audio discrimination, that means.....you can adjust the volume of the iron and good targets if you run in all metal mode. very VERY NEAT. Now I have never been a fan of " ALL METAL MODE" but oh boy this this is so impressive that all I want to do from now on is run all metal mode. This thing has 4 modes for a display light and it is a easy soft red glow, so if you want to detect in the night then here you have it. 1. It has manual and automatic ground grab or " ground balance" 2. threshold, (IN ALL METAL MODE) . 3. 20 segments of volume adjustment. (that is way cool ... Introducing my new metal detector "Fisher F44" Man this detector is a lot of detector for the money and I tell ya, I really love it. You get a Crap ton of features for the money. To be honest, I have always purchased the "top of the line" in metal detectors, and have gone with a number of brands. After a long time, I finally disposed of all my detectors except my Fisher Gold Bug Pro. As an all application detector, unbeatable! I, with hesitation, decided to add the F44, a mid priced, water resistant model for threatening days that I would normally forget. Well, I was amazed at the light weight, ease of operation, back light, tones, etc. But even more, expecting a big loss in depth, not the case with the 11" DD coil! Quite acceptable, and sometimes quite good by any comparison. I am now Fisher permanent, with an interchangeable, CORS Cannon for the GB Pro and F44, what else do O need? Golden Roads Enterprises was great to work with and were extremely helpful in ... Well Balanced, easy instructions first hours out with the Fisher Metal Detector F44 awarded me with old coins and an early 1800's metal cutter. Now a carrying bag could have been added to this outfit. Did lose one of the rubber rings for the search coil.
