Have enjoyed the group's earlier releases, but cringed when the disc started with a hammering-accent-on-the-downbeat song that has nothing to do with infectious Cajun offbeat driven music. Their mentor, Steve Riley can get a little too close to country music for my taste sometimes, but nothing like this. Cow Flop might be a better title. Hope they return to their roots on the next release, if this one doesn't make it too difficult to get another release.
Pretty good cd, but in my opinion not quite as good as the previous cds, when the band members were younger. I guess that is somewhat normal for the music not to seem as fresh as the original recordings. Also a couple of band members have been replaced, so this is not quite the original group.
