On have put a few miles on it so far doing cross country trails, but seems to be well built. It is the older design head set with a bearing ring rather than a sealed bearing which i wanted for my older mtb rig. You just have to remember to clean and re-grease periodically. Hope this helps.

This headset is a bit heavy but it's oversized so that's expected it came fast and in original package. Very nice and a good upgrade for older bikes with 1 and 1/8 threadless steertubes and 1 and 1/4 headtube (I had to research the new sizing codes) if you want a long lasting headset get this. If your a weight weeny you may want to shop around

I've used these on my bmx bikes and mtb and they are some really strong cups. I recommend ditching the race and add a few more ball bearings and quality grease. I've beat the tar out of these and they just don't give up. Require a little more maintenance then cartridge bearing but they are stronger.
