Good Fix for a Limited 2003 Tundra
I tried to replace the tow hitch on my 2003 Tundra XtraCab. I found out the tow hitch is welded to the bumper support, and all were excessively rusty. After getting the frame replaced, the dealership remounted the rusty old thing. Buying this unit and a simple class 3 hitch was inexpensive and super easy to install. To replace with the OEM bumper/hitch was around $1000. No thanks. This produce was perfect and easy to install. Replaced a rusted original.
The bumper reinforcement with hitch on my 2003 Tundra had rusted badly enough that I did feel it would be safe to tow with. The OEM replacement is super expensive so this one, with an aftermarket Class III hitch, is a sensible alternative.
