This guy writes in metaphors that make the picture so clear to understand. It is very well written, and he found a way to relate different glycemic indexes to your body as different grades of gasoline effect an engine in a car. This little book help me understand what food now do and have been doing to my body. Made me more aware of the type of foods I was buying in the store and what that was doing to me. I now know what do to, what to buy, and how much to eat. Would you believe, I lost 10 lbs my first week. I know, I almost couldn't believe it.

My sister and I did the original fat smash diet and at first I wasn't sure that it was going to work. When we finished that program, I lost over 30lbs. I still want to lose an additional 20lbs and after reading through this book, I see it happening. I met Dr. Ian Smith in person in Baltimore and he signed the "extreme fat smash" for me. He held a free meeting for over 3 hrs and expressed his concern for individuals who are not healthy. He is more concerned with health than six pack abs. This diet is not truly a diet but rather a life change. To be quite honest with you, anyone who has their mind made up to lose weight, will lose weight. Find what motivates you and go for it. This just so happened to be the book for me. No matter what pill, book, or machine you buy, it has to begin with you. I brought this book because my little sister told me about it. She was a little overweight and was told by her MD that she should lose a few pounds for health reasons. She tried a lot of things but was only successful with losing and keeping the weight off with the steps and recipes listed in this book. When I looked through her book I knew that I wanted to buy one for myself. When I received my book I was pleased to find that the reading was very easy and the plan he laid out is easy and not painful to follow. I like that I can still eat a lot of the foods that I really enjoy. I also love the easy to fix recipes!!! That was the main reason for me to buy the book. I wanted to learn new ways to cook so that I could have all the flavor and still be very healthy. This book is awesome and easy to follow, I highly suggest it for anyone wanting to make a healthy change in their eating habits and to lose weight. I have only recently received the book and have lost 3 lbs in the first week but my sister who has been following it has lost about 2 dress sizes in under 2 months and her blood pressure has dropped also. I come from a huge southern family where food is the one thing we all come together for, and we all know that the southern diet isn't waistline friendly. So I started the diet about 2 and a 1/2 weeks ago, and my husband is doing it with me. I've eaten more times a day that I've ever eaten and it is a drastic change from our normal diet. The recipes are good, we've actally really liked several of them. He's lost 14 lbs and I've lost 19.5lbs. It really works, but we need something more long term because in the book it said that this book is for people who are looking to loose about 30 lbs or less quickly. I've been so satisfied with this diet that I've bought the "Fat Smash Diet" wich is more for a long term change, for people who want to loose a lot of weight like we do. I recomend that anyone who's looking to loose weight try it because it actually works and it's healthy for you!Read full review
I decided to buy this book because of the obvious reason, he is the doctor from Celebrity Fit Club and he is currently doing the 50 million pound weight loss challenge. The diet is hard at first I must admit but he makes it simple by giving you substitutes to eat if you don't like particular items. He also gives you little receipes to help with the dieting process. The book doesn't tell you to give up carbs or any other food completely but it does tell you to still enjoy what you like to eat and ways to do it without adding the pounds. In the back it also gives you great receipes for food.
