The Epson XP-640 is a very versatile all-in-one printer and scanner, having many other convenient features. It is easy to use, has great printer quality, and is small enough to accommodate in limited spaces. The one I purchased was listed as pre-owned but was in excellent condition at a very competitive price, and included all cables, manuals and installation CD. My main concern was the compatibility with Windows 11 that came with my new PC, but once installed I was able to confirm that all functions were working perfectly. I am extremely satisfied with the purchase of this printer and the eBay seller, secondsaveresale, who was very courteous and helpful during the entire process.

It's a good little machine for the price. I don't like the location of the paper tray. Awkward. My 420 T was much easier to use. I also don't like the new scanner software. It's confusing. As far as print quality . . . it's very good and as I said, for the price, I'm OK with it.

Easy to set up. Can go wireless ( I did). picked up network fast. The ink carrier is like that of the Rx580 but with no top. The test page tells you the strength of your network.2 sided printing is great. Cd printing is another story. It almost works like the 580. Put the cd cartridge in, it comes back out. You have to insert it with perfect timing back into the machine or it will not work. The 640 has eliminated that, and that's all. The tray still comes back out. Since I've own an Epson before I know what to do. It's almost the same as the Rx 580. If you print cd's , you'll have to work with it. Cd print quality is good.

I'm not sure how economical this unit is, ink usage wise, but the print quality is excellent for a small home unit. Setup is simple. This is my first Epson and so far I'm happy with the machine.

Printer works fine. I just don’t like the way the front has to be left lifted in order to print. I prefer my older Epson Artisan 720. I mistakenly ordered the XP640 thinking I ordered an all in one which included a fax. To my surprise I was wrong.
