Fantastic printer! Seller boxed it up professionally and it even arrived earlier than expected. Thank you BIG time! The printer works like it is new and takes care of all our needs for printing/scanning/copying/faxing. Print quality is great and it is nice to be able to put a stack of papers in the top tray, press one button and have it wirelessly sent to ANY computer on our home network with all pages as one PDF file.

Overall, I like this printer. I wanted an all-in-one, reviews were good, and when I consulted my IT friend, he said it's the printer he has at work, by his request, and he loves it. I have only had it about a month, so I haven't used it a lot yet. The top feeder is great, the pullout tray to hold the copies is a nice feature, too, and I like the ability to print 2-sided copies. Have scanned a couple of things and no problems there, very easy. Control panel for copying is a little cumbersome, but once you know the drill, it's fine. My biggest disappointment is that the ink still runs and obliterates the words on a paper when it gets the least bit wet (yes, I'm using inkjet papers). I know that inkjet ink is not waterproof; but reviews I read indicated that Epson ink was more water resistant than others, particularly HP, which is what I switched from. That's not my experience - this ink runs as much as the other brand. Set up was a little time-consuming, but we are not the most tech-savvy household. I didn't set this up -my husband did- and he said it wasn't as easy as reported in some reviews. Additionally, It would be nice if Epson included the cables that are mentioned in the instructions - nothing is more aggravating than to read the instruction that indicates "[if you have a problem use this cable. . .not included]" . In the end, we had an IT tech come in and it turns out that the wireless feature will not work with the desktop computer, but it does work with the laptop -- very odd. that part is likely not an Epson problem, since everything works fine from the laptop. Overall I think this is a good all-around printer, copier, scanner, if you don't print lots of documents that run the risk of getitng wet -- unless you try waterproof paper, which is my next step, if I can find some on-line.Read full review
This is a fantastic product. I use this printer for my home/office needs as well as producing original DVD's for my church and video business. It is the third Epson printer I have owned in the last 10 years. Each one had the direct CD/DVD printing capability which is by far the cheapest method of custom labeling. The stick-on labels peel up and get stuck in the DVD/CD players. Until this model, I have been rather unhappy with the Epson software included, but there seems to be a high degree of flexibility, but also goog automatic features for less-nerdy types. This printer is easily capable of installing any of the ink tank systems available on the internet. This feature was a MUST-HAVE for me. Ink is too expensive to do it any other way. Another feature I love is the Automatic Document Feeder in the scanning unit. It is very intuitive and efficient. I have used the ADF to scan several multi-page documents and saved them as PDF's. Awesome for use on my tablet! This printer is also Wi-Fi capable and I have it setup to be available on all our laptops. the Android Software on Google Play makes it available to any of my Android or Apple devices world-wide! I have printed documents using Google Print several States away from home and they are waiting for me when I come home. Most of the printer offerings with these features have been several hundred dollars over my budget. But since this unit is no longer offered in most retail stores, it is an exceptional value on EBay, and with the ink tanks, it is no longer an "Epson Ink Sales System", it a truly valuable home/office tool for increased productivity at home or on the road.Read full review
I bought this 837 printer a long time ago. It has faithfully served me with only minor glitches. When she gave up the ghost I looked for another. This my second one. My backup printer is a 810. The 837 is a real good printer. Lots of options to print. GREAT!!!!
