The book is great in terms of providing samples that will help students learn about the fundamental theories of dynamics. The actually reading can get confusing at times so it's best to follow the examples in the book since it sometime provides a more effective use of the concepts. Be sure to reviews your physics mechanics ad statics before diving in to this book as it assumes you've already mastered the above mentioned courses.
The book's use of examples makes it a good buy. Also the book gives the answers to more than just odds in the back of the book. This lets you do more problems without the uncertainty of knowing whether you were right or not. That's nice. Anyway, it's an engineering book. I bought it for an engineering class. Do I recommend buying it if not for a specific class? No, look for a cheaper edition. They have basically the same material. Most prof.'s will recommend this book though.
Concepts clearly explained. Good examples and problems to study.

The book is very well put together. Easy to follow and allows you to go through it step by step. I also had the help of the solutions manual, so it helped me a lot when I was stuck on a problem. All and all, good book! grade received in class:B+
Bought this textbook at the beginning of the semester. If you had Hibbler's statics textbook in the past, the way he presents things are pretty much the same, which doesn't thrill me too much. Hibbler sometimes doesn't explain his example problems well. From time to time, you'll find an equation that isn't mentioned in the text.
