I just moved into a condo that has shag (high pile) rugs. I was amazed at all the dirt the Electrolux pulled up. I really like the bagless feature. You don't have to purchase bags and you get to see how much dirt is sucked in. I have owned a lot of vacuum cleaners Kenmore canister and hoover upright, and this one has the strongest suction I have ever owned. Some features I don't like include the power button on the canister vs near the grip of the wand. The step release for the handle is a little Klunkie also. Overall if you are looking for a bagless vacuum cleaner that has super suction and is versatile ie has attachments for hard wood floors and a brush for fabric, this is the vacuum for you!

First good news, the power of the vacuum is awesome. It will take care of getting the dog hair off the furniture with ease. It is small enough to use in tight places and doesn't take up a lot of room in my closet. Now the bad news, the bagless container is a mess to empty. Dust gets all over when it is removed to be emptied. I wish the power cord was 10 foot longer. It is to short for my liking. And the vacuum seems stiff and somewhat hard to use. But I think that will ease with more use. All in all it's OK.

There is a lot to like about this vacuum but a few things to be aware of... The Good News: well designed super powerful, amazing suction convenient accessories sturdy gets your carpets fluffy and clean easily reaches overhead to clean ceilings and A/C vents etc No Bags! Dust cup empties easily into the garbage without any "blowback" and mess...no need to dump it outside love the red color! The Downside: cumbersome and takes a little effort to lug around the hose is just a little too short, but you will make due dust cup fills quickly, especially if you have pets, one go-round of a 10x20 room will fill the dust cup and you will need to stop to empty it before you go on to the rest of the house canister tips over easily. inner parts like the foam dust filter and inner dust cup are a bit fragile and need to be handled carefullyRead full review

Not a bad vacuum so far as I have only had it 2 weeks. Bought this because I loved the Electrolux 4300 which is similar but now discontinued. This one is a little awkward to pull around and like other reviews I must agree that the hose is stiff and is a pain in tight places. Anyways, the power head is a must for carpets and rugs if you have pets. The Dyson Animal canister I own can go in the trash when compared to this one.

So far the vac seems to perform well. Carpet attachment works well, good suction. The only issue, and it it annoying, is that the 3 way small nozzle/ brush attachment falls out of the end of the hose. It doesn't lock in. I had to put a piece of tape on it to finish vacuuming furniture.
