For the money you cant go wrong with this mic. They were on sale for $17 each and at that price it destroys all other competition. Has better frequency response then an SM57 more HF response so it makes it a very versatile instrument mic perfect for allot of application. Sounds best on tom's and electric guitar cabs and amps. For live sound its sturdy construction makes a great gig mic. It is a little heavy but it has a shorter profile than an sm57. Overall the sound quality is good needs a HF filter some times depending on the conditions. Purchased 2 to begin with now own 10 mics for a small mobile recording setup. If you can find these at a good price snatch them up while you can.

Its heavy, picks up a lot of hand handling noise so must be used on a mic stand for me...It costed me around $16.99 clearance, so it wasn't a good selling mic...I would never say it sounds as good or versatile as a SM57 or 58...it has its uses but not many in my case... If you can find one under $20 its a good buy...Jim

The EV Cobalt C04 is a good budget alternative to more expensive mics like the SM-57. They can be found at prices well below retail. Highly recommend for those on a tight budget.

Its not the best but not the worst. You have to take care for volume control because this Mic make too much noise (feedback) but if you dont need sound loud this mic is for you.I always use this mic for percussion only this is bad for vocal.I bought this for it cost.
Muy buen microfono
