Assembly was a bit contentious at first. Instructions are minimal but, turned out to be quite easy. Out of the box the machine plowed a 8 x 10 foot plot of land (initial run) with relative ease in about an hour or less. Depending on the complexity of your land - be prepared to clean often. Cleaning issue withstanding the machine continued to plow through the space. The only issue we had were a few minor brief periods where power was lost. A quick reinforcement of the connections resolved the issue. Could be an issue with the cord connection. Needs further investigation. All in all a great value.

For years my father put in a huge garden using Troybuilt tillers. At the age of 97 he could no longer do the garden and it was my turn to take over the gardening for my elder folks. For years I had owned an Earthwise push mower, pole saw and weed trimmer - all were battery powered. So when looking for a garden tiller, I figured I'd look at Earthwise tillers first. Why? Because all my other Earthwise products were exceptional, why shouldn't the Earthwise tiller not be. I wasn't wrong at all! This little, lightweight tiller blew me away by its power! I'm an average female at 5' 5" and it really tore up the soil! Now, my only complaint is that it won't till concrete hard soil- no big deal. All I did was run the hose for 15 minutes to dampen the soil and it did an amazing job! Our soul here in Maryland is mainly clay and rocks and this tiller really takes a beating. I am really surprised as how well it handles the rocks it tills up without any damage to the tynes at all. It also washes up quickly - I took some mild dish detergent and squirted it off with the hose and it sparkled as if brand new. If your looking for a tiller to start a small garden without breaking your back or bank account, this Earthwise tiller is the one to buy! I got mine for $97 and compared to the $400 Troybuilt tillers, this one will do the job just as well.Read full review

I love this tiller! I can't handle a big rototiller. They are too heavy and hard to start. I can't pull the cord anymore and it takes too many tries to start it. This one is light but not too light. It does an excellent job on small gardens. I've been waiting for a rototiller I can handle and this one is it.
