I began reading this series in the early '80s after finding one of the books at a garage sale and was instantly hooked. Who would've thought a series featuring a Wall Street banker could be such a page turner? But the authors manage to make the banking and business worlds not only intelligible but also fascinating, combining great writing, great plotting, wry humor, and a number of continuing characters that I look forward to meeting in each book. I was delighted to find recently that I had missed a few in the series and immediately went searching for them on ebay. The only reason I'm not giving East Is East 5 stars is that there was little of the secondary continuing characters, whom I enjoy following, in this particular book.
