Absolutely love this vacuum!!! So easy to use! We have 4 dogs & 4 cats, works really well! One tiny criticism...wish it was easier to take apart to undo a tissue clog (screwdriver needed). But I was able to so it π Best purchase I've made in years!!!

This is normally a great vacuum, my mom has the same one, but the one I received doesn't work properly. There isn't enough suction and the head piece doesn't switch to the hard wood floor setting. Also no attachments π

Up until three days ago, I was using only my LG Kompressor Canister PetCare Plus Vacuum Cleaner LcV900B. Comparing it to the new Dyson DC39, I can say that there are a few main features on the LG that Dyson could incorporate into their machine to make it nearly perfect. First: The Dyson has an on/off switch located on the canister body. You have to bend over to push it, or you have to step on it to start and stop your machine. Not convenient. The LG Kompressor has not only an on/off switch on the handle, but also a speed control so that you can lessen the suction to keep your vacuum from sucking up rugs instead of cleaning them. Second: Would definitely be the cheep feel of the plastic cleaning wand and the fact that the button to extend the wand is hard to push and is located at the bottom of the wand, making the extension of the wand a bit cumbersome. The LG Kompressor has a sturdy, light weight metal extending wand that simply slides down from the top with a light touch. I like those features much better than the set up on the Dyson DC39. The Kompressor has a much nicer feel, and the handle is easier to use. Third: Would be the accessories. The LG Kompressor stores the gadgets inside the canister casing. On the Dyson DC39, the accessory tools are stuck on to a plastic clip that fastens onto the extension wand. They get in the way when you are trying to bend over to reach the poorly placed button that needs to be pushed before you can extend the wand.Dyson needs to figure out a way to keep those little items on the canister, and not on the vacuum wand. The wand handle on the Dyson DC39 is not the most comfortable to hold and control. Again, the plastic feel of it doesn't help. It feels flimsy, and I am afraid it will break. But...the fact that all you need to do is push a button on the top of the wand handle to switch flooring type, is wonderful. The LG Kompressor has three button set up on their wand handle. Power/ Max / Low. With those buttons, at your fingertips, you can change suction settings easily. The Dyson wand handle has one button that switched the cleaner head from carpet to hard floor with just a touch, but to decrease suction, should your cleaner decide to suck up a lose rug or something, you have to pull a plastic trigger, located under the hand grip, to reduce suction. You must continue to hold the trigger the entire time you want reduced suction, so cleaning lamp shades and drapery will require strong fingers. On the PLUS side for the Dyson DC39 is the fact that there is only one vacuum head. Changing from carpets to hard wood flooring is as simple as pushing a button. If they could only add a power button to the wand handle, ...well..Both have push button cord retraction on the body. As far as machine performance goes...I have not yet noticed any huge difference in the cleaning ability between my LG Kompressor and the new Dyson DC39, but it's early. I have only used the Dyson twice, so I really have not put it through it's paces yet. The Dyson does have a longer cord than the LG, and it is much easier to pull around the house. AND...there is no sweeper heads to change. I LOVE being able to move from room to room without having to stop to change heads. Based on ease of use alone, I love the Dyson. Based on the feel of quality, they have a way to go. Stay tuned. If anything changes, I will let you know.Read full review
I have a husband who is a disabled veteran and loves to vacuum. The vacuum he was using was much too heavy to use. Every time he sees a Dyson commercial he always says that he would love to own one. To my surprise there was a special discount on one on ebay daily deals and I was able to get it for him. The product arrived ahead of schedule and to my surprise was brand new, not refurbished. My husband absolutely loves his vacuum. As a matter of fact, now he is hinting to needing a Dyson stick vacuum for fast clean ups. There is nothing that my husband dislikes about the vacuum. It is lightweight and has so much suction. Also, it is money saving with the bagless feature. There is no comparison to others, this Dyson product is heads above the rest!
Without question, the best vacuum I have ever purchased, or probably will ever own. Super-suction, quiet, easy to operate, and just plain nice-looking. A tiny bit tricky to assemble and get familiar with, but once you do, it's vacuum heaven. I waited a LONG time for a Dyson, and it's was totally worth it. The best feature is the push-button emptying of the bin. I love this machine.
