It is possible to drop a double charge into a case. When seating the bullet it blows out the bottom of the case slightly. Using this gauge I found 13 reloads which would not drop into the gauge. Some were too long, and some were too fat. I own 3 Dillon case gauges and they are all very high quality and worth every penny. They are 9mm/38 .40 and .223. I love Dillon products and their customer support is great. In the past they were not as strong in that area but they cleaned up their act. Usually I don't bother to gauge before reloading any pistol calibers; I'd rather do that after sizing; if I go that far I might as well put powder, primer and a bullet in the case with my 550B progressive loader.

It's a case gauge. If you reload it is one more step to insure you are producing good to spec ammo.
