Even at full price, this a great amp. I've heard salesmen say the center channel is lacking. I may not have the most well trained ear, but I have no complaints. This amp delivers every penny worth. Powerful, easy to setup. It did take me near an hour to complete the audio and video setup, including renaming inputs on the display, but the Audessey setup mic made the calibration a breeze. And after the initial time consuming testing and calculation (which the unit can do almost unattended) you're good to go. Awesome fine tuning features like boosting or reducing HD audio input levels to match non-HD levels eliminates the heart-stopping volume rush when changing sources that most amps don't account for. My favorite feature is the video selector, that allows the audio from one source to play, while the video from another is displayed. (I use this feature all summer during baseball, when I watch the game, and listen to the radio broadcast. The amp also has the audio delay, and although I haven't tried it yet, I'm assuming it could delay the radio broadcast to match the timing of the TV delay through the dish.) The on screen display is huge. I haven't bought a new home theater amp in 7 years, but things have come a long way. Denon is still my brand of choice!Read full review
Nice receiver. Performs powerfully as expected. Replaced an older 3000ES series Sony that was a bit cantankerous. I will say the picture enhancement ability from the Sony was better but still over all pleased with the Denon. I also noticed it doesn't create as much heat as the Sony did.
All i can say is My husband loves it i know this for a fact because i pulled up the other day to our house and i could here the music outside with the windows and door shut. He keeps reading the Manuel and playing and as he says " It dose everything" So the Denon Receiver is wonderful.
