The Dymo Label Maker: 20th Century Technology for a 21st Century Society!
The Dymo Label Maker is a Product that dates back to my College Days, and I'm 66 Years Old and Retired Now! It's pretty much unchanged from my time, the labels it prints out are legible but not much else and still very east to use. It is what it is a Low Tech Label Making Machine, Today's High Tech High School & College Kids would be Horrified but I Love It! Good, But has a Few Issues
It's a great tool for the price you get it for. Truly is good for $10. But I wouldn't recommend this product as a gift to anyone, but to someone looking to get something cheap, because that's what this is; cheap. This is the issue that I have with it: If you cut a peice of the tape too short, you're most likely not getting it out, and that can pose a problem with printing labels later, as it can get stuck inside, and seems like it keeps tape from entering into the stamping area from the roll. Even if you wanted to go as far as to disassemble it, I've had no luck with that, as once you take out a couple screws, it can't simply be pulled apart without breaking it, and I haven't went so far as to test that part of it. You can get the tape feeding back into it again after some fiddling around. I still use mine after a couple weeks of having it, and with proper care, you'll have minimal problems with it. Here's a tip though, after every label, put in a space, that way the tape doesn't fall back out of the stamping area or letters get cut off from the beginning. Overall, it has been a great label maker for what I paid for it, and I would recommend to somebody looking for a quick, cheap label maker.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Just like one I had years ago that I lost. Great label maker and so easy to use. You can label by color if you want as the refills are colorful. 2 black & 1 red!
The unit worked as expected. If you have a lot of embossing, expect a Sore wrist and hand. My major problem with this unit is that the manufacturer was supposed to have 3 different colored tapes enclosed. Nowhere on the box does it indicate what colors are enclosed, but the visual description features a Black, Red and Blue tape. I received two Black tapes and one Red. That was disappointing because I had required three separate colors. I contacted the supplier, but never received a response to my issue.

I only needed a few labels and the product worked fine and produced nice labels. It didn't work at all the second time aboit six months later. It doesn't print very crisply (maybe if the tape was a little wider it would be easier to read), but it's a whole lot better than my handwriting. At least I can read the labels in my file drawer, and it's great it you need to change a label title or to re-use an old folder.
