This kit is exactly what you would expect at this price point. The neck fitment could be a little tighter but it's not terrible, there was some sanding marks on the body but again no big deal, you want to sand before adding a finish anyway. The frets all seem to be in good shape and level but it's a little hard to be sure until I finish the build. Now for the electronics, crap crap and more crap ! Plan on replacing all the electronics if you purchase one of these! I would really look at this kit as being a neck and body rather than a complete kit, however for the price that's still a great deal! If you're looking to build an affordable lp style guitar this a great starting point

The kit comes with everything you need.......except instructions. Had some minor problems with the veneer bubbling during application of the dye. But it's a DIY starter project of reasonably good quality for the price. It was a lot of fun to complete....I will definitely do another one!

I have built several of these kits and this was the worst one. The hardware and the neck was great but the body had several dents and was very rough. The quilted top was very faint and hard to see. It took a lot of sanding and I mean A LOT of sanding to get out the dents. So much sanding that I thought I would sand though Quilted Maple Top. This kit was the worst one I have ever built by far. It was not very expensive so I guess I got what I paid for. The seller shipped very quick and I have No complaints on them but if I had it to do over I would have saved several hours and paid a little more. It did turn out OK just a lot more work. I had to do some color manipulating to get the quilting to stand out. Looks Ok but could have looked so much better.

The neck came matched to the body and the fit was snug. The angle of the neck was spot on and all of the nut/bridge/fret distances checked out. The truss rod was easy to adjust and all of the frets except for 2 were level with one another. The two that were off were low and they were up around fret numbers 14-17 I think? Anyway, just a little fret leveling brought everything down to them. The veneer on top of the body looks amazing and is about 1.5 to 2 mm thick. There is PLENTY there to put down a dark color, sand and then put down a finish color. I actually sanded mine 3 times with 250 grit. The finished product was a stunning desert burst. Hard ware is all right. I actually am very pleased with the selector switch. The tuners seem acceptable and I haven't decided if I am going to replace them or not. Honestly, this is a GREAT deal. I am not spending any time "fixing" holes that were drilled in the wrong spot or adjusting neck angles. Most of my effort was spent on the finish. I am happy and will most likely buy more.Read full review

The body was cracked and had to make repairs. The maple top is very thin. I have not complete it. The shipping was great.
