I used this to upgrade the RAM in my HP desktop machine to the max RAM it will take. Next I'll upgrade it to Windows 10, but before it would have been a struggle with half the installed memory. Before you junk your vintage desktop, check into the max RAM it will accept and buy it yourself and carefully install it and add life to your machine. Look for new first. If you've not swapped RAM before just watch it done on YouTube etc - you can do it, don't pay to have it done, no software etc changes needed, your system will recognize it as new, ask you to confirm it, and that's it.

Not much too RAM as far as I'm concerned. As long as when I install it, it works at its specified speed, I'm happy. That's just what these two sticks of RAM did. No complaints from me.

I had a very basic need - more RAM for a Dell Optiplex Desktop machine that I turned into a home file server running Debian Linux. So far so good - the RAM has been in the machine for about 6 months with no issue.

The product is exactly as described. It is performing as expected at the maximum speed of the memory bus. The machine is having no problems at all with this memory upgrade.

Update: added 2nd pair of 2x2gig sticks and motherboard recognizes the 8 gig total ram as well as the OS and test programs......Doc's show Vostro 400 core 2 quad motherboard only takes 1g ram up to 4max. I put the 2 - 2gig sticks in, bios disagreed one round of power cycling and now works fine. Going to add 2 more sticks to push board to 8gig ram
