I was replacing old Craftsman door opener at my garage and picked this one. It was nicely packaged, installation was easy - however keep in mind that most likely you'll have to replace both sensors and up/down button (new ones are included) - and it will take extra time. Biggest problem is fine-tuning of the up/down forces - door ether don't close or don't open.

Unit is easy to assemble. Is also quite noisy in operation. Biggest issue is it can't be programmed to any remotes but the specific one sold for the series 100, model cr1150. Spent time with Clicker universal remotes with no luck and also Sears product support. Sears has only remote that will operate it with the YELLOW LEARN BUTTON.

Replaced an older 1/2 hp Craftsman garage door opener with this one. The older one was more rigid and sturdy than the newer one. Unfortunately you have to replace everything as well, you cant just change out the motors. Rails, optical eyes and operator switch are all different and must be switched out. Not fond of that change but if I were making garage door openers, I can see why they would do such! Time will tell how long this one lasts, got 18 years out of the last one.

Works, quiet, worked with old switch mounted on wall from a different brand. easy to setup. Had to shorten the frame bar length due to ceiling constraints. Just cut one of the bar sections and removed some chain. Also mounted a SONOFF to it, so I made a smart door for 8 bucks
