    Excellent Couture Sewing Video

    This is a how to video by a well respected couture sewing teacher. I got it for one specific technique - "Spanish Snap Buttonhole" - which is new to me. The example she showed was very clear and paves the way for the viewer to follow and successfully create the buttonhole for themselves.

    Never to old to learn

    Excellent all the way through. Yes it is old and the background is fussy and dark, but the information you are being given is really good especially if you are a visual learner. If you want to take your sewing skills to the next level then this dvd is for you.

    Great teaching tool

    I was a little sceptical when I saw the cover picture and it looked a little dated, but this is a first class teaching video, particularly on tailoring techniques. The Spanish snap button hole is a very interesting procedure I have not tried. Her expanation of pad stitching is in depth and very concise. She has an entire section devoted to using bias tape that is excellent. I make and use a lot of bias tape in my sewing and I learned all kinds of usable methods. I am a fairly experienced sewer, and I am thrilled with this teaching dvd. I agree with a previous reviewer who stated that they wished there were more where this came from.
