Makes a great cup of coffee if you're willing to wait for it to come to a boil and simmer for about 10 minutes. It is worth the wait. In hindsight, I am not a fan of the hinged lid, but satisfied with the purchase nonetheless.

I have made three pots of coffee so far. Metal is nice and thick, works as designed. Even with the extra paper filter , some grounds make it through. Highly recommend course ground coffee. Takes about 10-15 minutes to make a pot over a Coleman single burner camp stove.... SOOO don't be in a hurry :) Cleans up nice! WAYYYYY better than the cheap aluminum or thin SS ones! Highly recommend!!! Ranger

Tried it on an open campfire, was absolutely amazed with how fast the coffee brewed and and absolutely stood up to the fire. Great pot.

We love this so much, we bought one for our camper for use when camping

*****WARNING**** I bought this in February 2019 just four months ago, and already the glass knob on the lid just cracked off while I was making coffee. The constant shaking of the percolator while coffee is brewing must have made a crack and eventually broke off.
