I purchased this after my power cord on my older detector cracked and decided to just get an upgraded one. I love the old one and just jumped up in the band. It works great, very simiiar to my older one however the new feature of beeping on the louder setting, then automatically quieter after the first few eeps is REALLY nice. I travel to Tallahassee often (400 mi each way, as well as city radar) and when it beeps constantly for a minute or two, it can get a bit annoying, but this feature is great!! My mount/bracket fits tighter and the unit doesn't fall off the windshield mount. I don't get many false signals and when I do, it's because of a building security (i.e. bank, or high secuirty buildings). I got it for a great price, it's saved me from getting tickets and reminds me to drive more carefully. I love it!Read full review
I used it and never got a problem, it has a mute button incase the voice annoys you but you still get a visual alert. it also has a dim buttom with 360 degree laser (Radar) detector. Im not sure how far the range goes but it worked for me
This is an excellent radar detector for the Ku band that is now in every small town I have gone through. For a low priced radar detector, it is hard to beat. If you budget is small, this is a great 12 band to get. If you have a couple of hundred dollars, there are better, but you have to pay the money.
Really like the way it alerts you of a signal! It alarms you once loud naming the frequency band (K, Ka, or X) then it tones down the volume. The volume problem was why I quit using my old radar detector because it drove me crazy. Was really surprized the other day whereas it alerted me to a Train Ahead and the closest railroad tracks where 2 miles away. Very nice especially for the price!
Works great
