This was my second Charvel, and I was a bit apprehensive about it having a Full Shred since I have been using TBs in my other guitars, but it wound up being my go-to guitar now. The neck was perfect, frets were flawless and the finish was superb. The tremolo would be my only real compliant, but it is functional and holds tune even when cranking on it. The fine tuners are very crude though. I would compare the "fie tune" feel of them to using drywall screws. Very rough feel when trying to adjust them. I will most likely replace the stock FR with an 84 reissue or another gold OFR, but for now, the other positive aspects of the guitar keep me busy wanting to play it. One other small inconvenience is the jack in the rear of the body... It is a great idea, BUT if you move a lot when you play and you sling your guitar low, it will bump around against your leg. Just make sure you have a good cable, and you should be fine...Read full review

Functionally, the guitar was great. However it arrived with a tone knob totally loose, and the finish was not what I expected. There were grain lines in the wood that were not sanded down enough. When the paint was applied, those lines were still present. Im sure the paint is pretty thin and could not cover grain lines on the surface. Not like the finish in the "old days". Can't compare to the Charvel I have since the 80's. The price is really low so I guess you get what you pay for. I just expected more from such a classic name. The vendor, however, handled the situation professionally and I recommend them.

Awesome guitar with great specs for its price. This is going to be my go to guitar for sure because of the ease of playing.
