Fits great, actually much thicker and higher quality than OEM. For anyone confused about installation (as I was): To uninstall the lid, first pull off the rear panel of the center console. You don't need any tools to do this, just start pulling it off from the bottom and it will unsnap. You can now access the lid hinge. To detach the hinge, simply remove the metal pins that go through it. I did it by pushing them out with a thin allen key, and once I got them out far enough, I gently pulled them out the rest of the way with pliers. Then, with the hinge loose, open the lid all the way until you disengage the hinge from the teeth of the spinny damper, then you can lift it out. To disassemble the lid, you first have to pry off the bottom cover (there are no screws holding it in). There are ... Fits great, actually much thicker and higher quality than OEM. To disassemble the lid, you first have to pry off the bottom cover (there are no screws holding it in). There are six clips holding the cover on, three along each side edge. Start prying from one of the back corners, and work towards the front. You'll feel the clips coming loose. It takes a good bit of force, but it's pretty sturdy plastic; don't worry. Once the bottom cover is loose, the hinge will still be attached to the main lid assembly. The hinge fits through the hole in the bottom cover, so you can remove the bottom cover with the hinge in place. Then you can unscrew the screws holding the hinge to the main body. You can remove the old OEM leather; all you have to do is detach it from the hooks and pry off all of the staples. It's not held on with any adhesive. The original leather is attached with staples, but unless you have a very powerful pneumatic staple gun that can shoot through plastic (which I don't lol) your best bet is probably super glue or some other epoxy, as well as installing the leather into the little hooks like how the original leather is installed. Snug installation of this cover will involve some trimming and poking holes in the leather. I've attached pictures of the OEM leather installation, as well as how I did it with this product, if that helps. You can see in my last photo that it's difficult to get good fitment in the back. That's a problem with the lid, not this product; the foam ends at the plastic trim so there's nothing holding that leather tight, so it's gonna sag a bit. It looked kinda like that from the factory, honestly. Just make sure, when you're installing the leather, that you spend a lot of time working on the fitment in the rear.

Based on the manufacturer piece this was not prepared with holes that were needed for installing but I was able to do that with a hole punch fast and install was easy if not time consuming. Quality is great and ship is fast. vinyl is heavier ounce than oem so hope it lasts longer. Will need a short stapled staple gun to finish job properly.

Great replacement armrest cover for 2015 Mazda 6
If you have some skillset this is about a 20 minute job, as you need to remove the old staples and reapply the new cover along with punching small holes while pulling it tight and the end process will require a staple gun with 1/4 staples to complete. Looks great and I’m sure it will last longer than the original.

I took me awhile to figure out how to install it because it wasn't exactly like the factory cover. Once I decided how to install it, the installation went well and it looks good. Seems to be a better quality than the OEM cover.
