Occasionally, you encounter a carburetor problem that even the most determined cleaning won't fix. I solved one such problem with this carb. The engine now starts and runs like brand new. As others may have mentioned, you must notice if you have a "low" or "high" vent type. The high vent type has the third hole at the 2 o'clock position in addition to the screw holes on the filter side of the carburetor. If you have a LOW vent type like I did, you will need to buy (ideally, or you can make) a gasket with this extra hole. You will also have to drill a hole in your filter housing to match. Everything else matched up perfectly.

Carburetor worked when installed, but not OEM Briggs & Stratton brand. Ad shows B&S diecast logo stamped on carburetor. While opening box, it had "made in China" sticker on box. No logo's or numbers on actual carburetor. But went ahead and installed as this was the 2nd new carburetor I purchased. First one was China as well, but gas poured out all holes. Threw it away, bought this one. It does work good. So I am mostly happy with purchase.

I ordered this part because there was gas running out of the stock carburetor and the power washer would not start. It came quickly, very easy to install and my power washer fired right up and ran like a champ! The only thing it did not come with was the little gasket that fits to the front of the carburetor (place shown in the picture) but I have gasket material in my garage so it was no big deal. This product was super easy and I highly recommend it if you need one!

I like the solid fuel intake on this carb. My old oem had a plastic fuel intake on it and it was easily broken. Also there are no instructions with this carb but I figured out that you have to experiment with the two butterfly valves they supply with it. If the engine runs too lean just put the butterfly valve with the smaller holes on it. I will say that I also replaced air filter and spark plug. This carb was used on a Sears 5.5 hp tiller. Runs like a champ now!

replaced my original briggs carb with this new one. no adjustments necessary out of the box - just bolted, hooked up the fuel line and pulled the recoil a few times and the tiller popped right off. Has run trouble free ever since.
