Fits 372xp
I ordered this for form my 288xp but turned out not to fit the bar studs. However it fits a 372xp so I'll use it there instead of modifying for the 288xp. This is a solid piece and with modification it would work just fine with the older saw. So if any older husky owners are planning on this for the saw, yes it will work, but be prepared to break out a dremel and file. As for the newer saw stud spacing it slips right on but will more than likely need a longer chain than the Stihl bar originally calls for, especially with an 8 pin drive.I ordered this for form my 288xp but turned out not to fit the bar studs. Good for most saws
This item works good. But it may need to be slightly modified depending on what saw. I bought it for a Husqvarna 3120XP. I had to tweak the one hole so that it would fit over the studs since the studs are further apart on a 3120XP. Did the job fine and is worth the money. Especially if you are running larger more expensive saws and long bars.

Some modification required to fit my saw
Works great but did not fit my 288xp out of the box had to do some Dremel grinding and fine tuning with a hand file to fit. There are others that will fit right out of the box without grinding but they are more expensive and are made with softer metal. Not exactly sure what saws or years of saws this fits without modifying I only own 2 saws. Fits the Stihl bar perfectly though.

Stud holes too tight needed to be drilled open a bit to fit Husky large mount. Other than that did the job tended for purchase.

Great adapter!
This is a light weight, very well made adapter that will allow the use of Stihl bars on large mount Husqvarnas. Highly recommended! It will fit small mount Husqvarnas as well, but the issue is the location of the adjuster holes. They could be milled out to work, but the big issue is the location of the oil port on the bar. It is well above the oil outlet on the saw. Far enough that it will not pick up the bar oil.
