This story is about Lady Saura of Roget she is beautiful, wealthy, and blind. Due to her stepfathers control of her life and his opinion that she is utterly useless ~ she lives a live of servitude to him. Others around her are touched by her magnificent spirit and she is summoned to the castle of Lord William of Miraval, by his father Lord Peter. He is a magnificent Knight who has been struck down in battle and now was blind. Thinking who better, to lead William back from the depths of his depression than another blind person, someone who could teach him how to deal with his affliction. So it was put into motion - Saura of Roget was brought to William -he surmised she was an elderly housekeeper for the castle, and everyone kept the ruse for awhile as she slowly tore down the walls that William built around himself. I truely enjoyed this book and all its characters - I highly recommend this story to all . . .Read full review
