This would be a good chorus for studio use. Reasons for this would be: Low noise (I could not hear any really), use of A/C power, and size of the effect (a little large for typical pedal board). This effect in my opinion is comparable to a Boss CE-1 and I would use it in lieu of a CE-1 which I nearly bought until this wonderful little guy came around. The xII gives you two different chorus "channels" from which to select which adds to functionality and stereo outputs seal the deal. Would I gig with it? NO! Unless you are a pro with a mega sized board and roadies you are better off letting someone spill beer on your budget priced mini pedals and keeping this gem in the studio.

Considering all the constant pedals that are being pushed upon guitarists I can say without a doubt that every Carl Martin pedal I own is better than 99% of the the so called newest etc...This pedal in stereo is unreal sounding. All analog just swishes the sound around perfectly. I have stopped trying to buy the new cool what's happening now pedals. I have learned my lesson. This pedal is used for all of my studio recordings. Do yourself a favor buy what has been established and plays better,is built better and is just plain better sounding.
