Even the delivery truck driver acknowledged that the box was in horrible condition. However upon examining the compressor pump after taking it out of the box it appeared to be in good working order. I could not know for sure until I tested it. I told the sellers this. They sent me a flywheel. After attaching the flywheel the pump seems to be running perfectly.
