Bose is incredible. I have had my Bose 3.2.1 system for 17 years and it still works and sounds great. Now upgraded from 2.1 to 5.1 on this Soundtouch 300 with base and surround speakers is incredible! Seriously, feels like my living room is now a theatre! Music sounds incredible and sports come to life! Can't wait for football season!

Love this bass module, was going back and forth on this one or the smaller one. I read a review saying that there was no comparison between the two and the smaller one is less than half the size. I'm glad I went with the larger one which in itself is small. The bass coming out of here is amazing, no regrets.

If you are an owner of a Bose soundbar that allows for the addition of this beast of speaker you should definitely add one to your setup....unless you live in an apartment. The Bose Bass 300 is easy to setup, looks nice, and is still small enough to hide daily easily. During scenes of Interstellar the Boss Bass Module easily handled the lowest of frequencies. Those that could be heard and were so low you could feel them. Fasten those pictures to the wall securely in any room you plan to use it though. Very happy!

The Soundtouch 300 subwoofer does add a lot of dimension to the capability of the soundbar, and in conjunction with the surround speakers, creates a great environment for listening to movies and music. I'd like to see Bose incorporate more specific controls into the soundtouch app, so that you can tailor the sound more specifically to individual tastes if desired. While expensive, Bose creates great equipment that is easy to use and sounds great.

Because Bose built the Acoustimass 300 system to only be compatible with Bose speakers, this is really the only option available if you have already purchased the soundbar. The bass module adds that missing piece that the soundbar can't deliver, that being deep bass for movies and listening to music. The bass it produces is tight (not muddy) and not overly pronounced. My biggest complaint is the price which at $699 is a lot. There are plenty of other capable sub-woofers out there that would have done the job at half the price if only Bose would have designed their system to be compatible with them. Fortunately, I was able to save a little money by purchasing this off of Ebay which made it a little less painful.
