Bosch Impact Driver...Smooth and relatively quiet
Bosch impact driver runs smoothly and is relatively quiet. Strong 1400 in-lbs of torque for any type of wood screw. It can handle 1/4" and 1/2" lag bolts, but if you have many to do I would opt for a higher torque 2200 in-lbs Ridgid impact driver...just not as quiet or smooth as the Bosch. Powerful and lightweight.
What a great, lightweight tool! I liked it so much I bought 5 of them. I love the feature that allows you to use a 1/4" snap in magnetic bit holder or attaching any 1/2" drive socket or extension. The batteries are small and the overall weight of the tool is light when compared to what I've been using. It is more powerful than I expected, and very easy to control. There's two areas that could use improvement; 1). The built in light doesn't illuminate the work area very well, 2).
