I am age 71, active but overweight for years, had immediate family members with type 2 diabetes, have been prediabetic in the past, so monitor myself to ensure I keep my numbers in acceptable limits. Insurance does not pay for this, so the reasonable cost appeals to me. I compared result with the name brand, and found the result comparable and reliable. It is a great tool that tells me when I need to reduce carbs and increase activity levels.

I bought these hoping to get a bargain. The brand named strips are very expensive. When I tried to use these knock-off strips with my One Touch Ultra meter, I had a hard time inserting them into the meter, AND there was an "ERROR 2" message on the screen each time (7-8 attempts with different strips).

I found these to be a perfect replacement at a much lower price than the brand name testing strips. They have been just as easy to use, every bit as accurate, and a fantastic value.

I have used several boxes and have found them to be as accurate as most home meters/strips. I did have one box that was slow accepting the blood sample and a few strips failed. Otherwise, I would have given five stars.

These strips do work with the OneTouch Ultra units, but when I did 4 comparisons of my blood sugar, these strips were off count. Example: OneTouch strip 383... these strips 272. My unit was calibrated and tested by Providence Cancer Center today. So I feel these strips give an inaccurate reading which could cause a diabetic to use incorrect dosage for insulin.
