First of all, DO NOT use this on blued guns. You WILL ruin the finish. But on stainless, this stuff is gold. No, better than gold. It is life itself. After roughly a thousand rounds, my GP-100 was dirty. Really dirty. I took my gun all the way down and used some cut portions of this sheet of lead remover on all the affected parts and right now it looks unfired. At least to the untrained eye. I also use this stuff on my stainless 1911s after a long day at the range. The muzzle end could definitely use a lot of cleaning after 2000 rounds.

The Birchwood-Casey polishing cloth is the absolute best product to clean the burn rings off of the front of stainless steel cylinders of revolvers ! Other similar products come close, but only the Birchwood-Casey gets every little bit. This product should NOT be used on blued guns but it is great for stainless steel. there is a youtube video showing the results by "goat mumbler". I also use it on the area by the forcing cone.

Nothing better to remove powder residue and stains from stainless steel firearms, especially around the front of the cylinder on a revolver where you have the black rings where the bullet comes out of the cylinder into the barrel. Cut a small piece approx 3"x3" and just start rubbing those black powder stains and they come right off. It has never taken me more than about 5 minutes to clean a revolver cylinder to make it look like it's never been shot. This stuff is fantastic but don't use it on a blued gun cause it will take off the blueing.
