Good documentary episode from TV series. Was more about Henry Ford and his politics (anti-semitism) than about the actual automobile. The pictures of the manufacturing process were interesting. The added sound effects added some interest to the pictures and archival silent film footage. One mistake was the showing of a pre Model T Ford as the first Model T. (Might be an R or S model). Overall it was an interesting movie.
This DVD does the best job of portraying the life of Henry Ford and his beliefs that I have seen recently. It goes into his political and ideological views where most leave that out. It also covers the original Ford Motor Company that I had not heard much about. Overall, very good watching!
It presented Henry Ford's life from a child through his death. The movie details the why and how he started Ford and the assembly line. The troubles and solutions with his work ethic and changes he made that are used in most companies. Changing the work day to an 8 hour day and how popular the model T was and the numbers sold were amazing.
The DVD is more about Henry Ford than it is about the Model T. It is the same as the Biography of Henry Ford DVD that is also sold by the History Channel. If you purchase one, don't waste your money with the other one, you'll see and hear the same information with just different introductions.
It's a great DVD a lot of history on the Model T and on Henry Ford himself fantastic vintage film footage...
