This product is small, lightweight and does what it says it does. It also has computer apps that allow you to download and track your progress over time. Two things to note -- 1) This ONLY takes the older contour strips, new 'next' strips won't work, no matter what anyone tells you 2) Some packages come with the cheaper/later model carrying pouch instead of the early models that had the heavy nylon pouch with the elastic loops. The new one is just cheap and has stuff falling out of it all the time.

I bought several of these that had an expiration date of 2016. The batteries had depleted in all of them and none would take a charge. Once upon a time they were great little meters. Instructions start internal batteries we only good for 5yrs (which is why Exp date is important).
