About this product

Product Information

Taking its title from the strategically crucial atoll in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, Battlestations: Midway is a naval warfare game featuring both action and strategy set during World War II. The game's main campaign begins with the attack on Pearl Harbor and follows major engagements in the Pacific Theatre through the Battle of Midway. In the main mode of play, action sequences have players piloting their choice of over 60 era-authentic fighters, bombers, destroyers, battleships, and submarines in simulation-style combat. The strategic mode of the game allows players to take command of all their forces at once, through a real-time strategy-styled interface. Players can coordinate the movement and tactics of their entire fleet in the strategic mode, then switch over to pilot their favorite ship or plane to hands-on victory. Online multiplayer modes support up to eight.

So Neat, Who Knew This Even Existed, Great Seller, Very Well Packed, I thought this was plastic, turns out its ceramic , I usually stay away from second hand ceramic so fragile to ship especially if its vintage, I would have worried the entire time, but this seller did a great job, packed it it like it came from Egypt as a treasure. Really is a treasure to me, so cool, Thanks worth every penny

  • Battlestations: Midway (PC Games)

I like the fact that I can use an XBox 360 Controller with the PC game. I do not like having to pick up the slack if there isnt enough players and control to many ships and whatnot. I hate the fact they over power Japanese ships, underpowered the American Iowa Class ships. The flight combat system is a little weak... I enjoyed the XBox 360 version alot more then this one.

  • What a disappointment

This game combines arcade style 1st person shooting with strategy that reminds me of Harpoon II, but for a four year old. The controls are awkward and ill positioned. The mouse controls for shooting and flying move up and down opposite what you instinctively want to do. The controls are way too sensitive for shooting but leave you a sitting duck in a dogfight as you frantically try to make the planes turn fast enough to evade pursuers. Fortunately the amount of damage your plane can avoid is fantastic while enemy aircraft explode at the meer trace of a hit. The flight algorithim is poor in general and gives no feel for flying an actual aircraft. Submarine and ship controls are also extremely primitive. Once again, much more an arcade game than any sort of battle simulation or strategy ...

  • Good game, too short

Pretty good game, I enjoyed playing it and it is very diverse. You can do everything from manning the guns and shooting down airplanes to commanding entire planes. The big problem with this game is that it is too short. The campaign is not very long and when you finish the only thing left to do is improve your scores or play at a different difficulty level. I think there is a multiplayer mode but I did not experiment with this.

  • Great Game

Very detailed but easy game interface. You can pick this up and do well after a few inutes. You don't need to read massive amounts of data to play. Can't wait to try multiplayer.

  • Oldie but goodie, Not joystick ready

As best I can tell this game does not permit joy Stick control making use a bit of a pain! Scenerios varied and good to excellant graphics for type of game.
