This movie is so wonderful for litlle minds! I enjoyed watching it as much as my young son did. The colors are fantastic and the music is great! We enjoyed the intermissions with the puppets and toys- very fun! This video is a great introduction to animals in the wild! It brings the BIG outdoors to a child-size point of view! The video is 71 minutes long and held my sons attention almost the hold time. It also has a continuous play option to watch it over and over again! This option is great, so your child does not get upset about it ending and you are able to get things done while your child is watching this fantastic video! It corelates with the other Baby Einstein videos (that are also excellent) sticking with the same theme! I would definetly reccomend this video, it might make you and your baby a little more smart :)!Read full review
The name "Baby Einstein" can lull you into thinking it's okay or even good for babies to watch t.v., but the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television AT ALL to children under 2 because so many studies have proven its harmful effects on children. Studies have shown that: - for every hour of television a baby watches a day, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%. - among babies ages 8 months to 16 months, every hour spent daily watching programs such as 'Brainy Baby' or 'Baby Einstein' translated into six to eight fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age." - brain wave activity in babies is slower when watching television than when sleeping. "Signing Time" (Two Little Hands Productions) DVDs is an option for occasional video viewing because communicating in sign language with your child is proven to: - reduce frustration and tantrums - accelerate language development - promote parent-child bonding Last thing for new moms - carrying newborn babies (in arms or next to body) an extra 3 hours a day resulted in 40% less crying. So carrying baby in a carrier or sling can help calm fussy babies!Read full review
My daughters are 3 and 1 years old and they both love to watch Baby Einstein movies. Baby Einstein DVDs contain useful information that can make learning fun. My 3 years old is familiar with the names of most "world animals"; she can identify them if she sees them in a picture. These DVDs help children review what they already know plus, the information is incorporated with beautiful music, colors, and puppets which helps them memorizes things faster. I spent alot of time with my children as far as education is concern; When my day is busy--I prefer that they sit down to watch a Baby Einstein DVD than cartoons.
I bought Baby Einstein: World Animals (2002, DVD) for my daughter. She absolutely adores animals & I thought she would benefit from this DVD. It is a very good DVD & teaches children what the animal is & what region they are from, however, if you also own Baby Einstein: Baby Noah - you should know that the two DVDs are very, very similar. I don't mind, but if you are limited, you can purchase one or the other & are basically viewing the same thing. World Animals offers a few animals that Baby Noah does not and vice versa. I do recommend Baby Einstein: World Animals for any animal lover out there. Entertaining & educational for the little one!
My son loves the characters in this video.
