i enjoyed the book a lot because of the art and new ideas for encounters that instantly entered my mind when i flipped through the pages. i especially love dragons, devils, and i demons as enemies, as a dm, and this book had many new evil outsiders and a couple of draconic ideas. i especially enjoyed the master of the hunt and cannot wait to throw him into a game session! the only reason i didn't give this book an excellent rating is because i am a standard fantasy roleplayer. some of the monsters, seemed almost sci-fi in nature and ability (constructs, insects, etc.). i am also stuck on mms 1-3! all in all this was a great follow-up to mm 4, because i felt as though that book was insignificant to d&d standards.
possibly the only good thing t come form 3e was psionoics finally sorted out

Lots of interesting monsters to keep your players guessing. Excellent detail on tactics and a chance to use knowledge in just about every encounter. Great art and overall great for collectors.

My book came in better condition than I thought it would be, far exceeded my expectations and was exactly what I was looking for to finish off my husband's Monster Manual collection. Extremely pleased "doo-dad" over here!!!

nice eye candy to add to the rpg collection, its getting tedious at this point...but since i am so old, and have so much of this stuff...it will take a real innovation to draw any new interest. this was my ...oh...well i guess i dont need any more of this clutter epiphany. moral: a complete game is nice....plugging every possible niche with a product, and then doing it over, and over, and over...well...i guess i finally outgrew it.
