    I received a cheap copy of what used to be a good switch. The switch I received in March 2025 had multiple quality issues that cost me hours of trouble shooting and multiple re-installations. I realized that the contacts were much smaller than the same switch i bought from this same vendor 3 years ago. The plastic bends more easily when you insert the screws causing the switch to conduct across the terminals when the key is not inserted. The smaller rubber cover breaks during use. Junk!

    Works OK.

    I put it on my JD Gator battery. Had to make the hole bigger on the battery post to mount it and it would only mount on the outside of the post, which made it harder for access to the switch.

    Ok, but not for very high currents.

    It is pretty well made, and has a nice action, but it just will not carry the rated current. At 125A there is a 0.128V drop across the switch. This results in enough heat to soften the plastic and create a considerable smell. For intermittent use, the switch is fine, and would likely survive the stated 300A for a few seconds.

    Too cheap of a switch to relie on not recommended.

    I used this switch to shut off power to wheelchair ramp on my van, well install is simple enough switch worked for almost a week and a half.The switch failed while in the on position which caused a no power to my ramp trapping me inside my van luckily my friend was able to jump the switch for me to get out of van, after checking with a DVOM internal switch is in open position so no power to the opposite terminal tried other key so key not the issue just a cheaply made switch. Oh the system I have it in is a 20 amp max load. I can't recommend this switch .

    Quick, and easy to use.

    With a short battery cable was easy and quick install. The key locks into the on position and retains the key. with a key ring / lanyard I can always find it when in the off position. This will work great until the short can be found and fixed.
