    Oddly flaky with common DVD media

    I purchased this as an upgrade/replacement for an older Asus DVD-RW drive that served well for many years. While the M-Disc support seems OK, this drive does not perform well for me using ordinary DVD-R media -- it takes a longer time to buffer data, and both reading and writing seem less reliable. The mechanics do not seem very good, with grinding and jerky drawer acceleration. Oddly, I get considerably better performance with the drive in an older XP-generation workstation. Why? Is it somehow happier being driven by a slower and older SATA interface?

    I don't us item at this moment.

    I explain to the people is wait a rate for the product above in this moment I don't use the because I don't install in my P/C because I suffered a big surgery in my vertebral column in my discs and I need no more much week to touch and make a new P/C. But by information for others friends recommended to me this LG DVD DIVE SATA SUPER-MULT DIVE on a recommendation for a best item, the people are used in him P/C and I ordered mine for this recommendation.
