This edition from the ‘Angelina Ballerina’ series, tells about Angelina the mouse and the day at the Fair, and how she must reluctantly take along her little cousin Henry. Angelina is planning on going to the Fair with her friends, but her parents ask her to take her cousin Henry instead. Angelina goes on all the exciting rides that she has been looking forward to, even though Henry is frightened, until finally he gets lost inside the haunted house. Frightened and overcome with grief after loosing Henry, Angelina begins to realize that she really cares for him and loves him. There is a happy ending to the story when Angelina finds Henry, and afterwards they go on the Merry-Go-Round together, and she patiently holds his hand while they are walking home. The beautiful illustrations are very imaginative, and the pictures of the haunted house, and all the details of the Fair scenes create a very enjoyable atmosphere.
