A big model with working features.
The Amusing Hobby kit number 35B003, injected plastic model kit of the "Fries Kran 16 ton Strabokran (1943)", literally, "Frieze crane", in English, meaning assembly crane, in 1:35 scale is presented in a large box with a sturdy, corrugated cardboard bottom, and a fairly stiff white cardboard top, illustrated with plan-like views of the crane, photos of the assembled model, and two wartime photos of the crane in use during the Second World War. The box is big enough to hold the seven sprues of 316 perfectly flash free, injection molded plastic parts, four of which, the gantry legs, made up of several separate parts, are already assembled for you, metal chain, metal cable, thin cord, and a metal ring, bagged separately and safely in the box. A multi-page instruction assembly booklet is included, that details the assembly of the complicated model in 35 steps. As with most assembly instructions included with kits produced in the Asian marketplace, the instructions are presented solely in highly detailed, illustrations of the individually numbered parts, clearly identified in the easy to follow assembly steps, making wordy explanations unnecessary It's a beautifully produced kit with working features, sure to build up into a fine model of this assembly crane, used frequently in maintenance facilities and armored vehicle factories throughout German territory during the Second World War. I highly recommend this kit for more experienced modelers.
