USB connectors were a bit of a tight fit in the Wii, which I worry may wear out the plugs over time. However, I just used two 6-inch, 90 degree extensions to make a flush connection anyways. My only other complaint is the odd non-standard connection, but it is possible to find a replacement if you look hard enough. That being said, the drive is properly powered and recognized by my original Wii, and I had no issues loading games or playing for an extended period of time.

Works just fine. I had to angle the tiny closure screws just a bit to get them started then straighten them to get them screwed in. Just use your head. The hard drive does not "rattle" around inside the case much if any like another reviewer said. If you want it perfectly tight inside the case just put a fat rubber band around it. The second USB connector is for the purpose of extra juice to power the HDD as some USB ports do not provide enough power to run an external HDD. Couldn't be a cheaper price.

The extra USB plug enables high speed data transfer with non-USB 3.0 computers. The screws are a little tricky to screw in (I used a push-pin to create hole on the inside plastic piece the aluminum shell attaches to. Plug and play operation on Windows 7 (driver installs automatically), aluminum shell is nicely black powder coated and helps disperse heat from the hard drive. This HDD enclosure should provide years of trouble free use.

Very easy to setup. Item comes with small screw driver. USB 3.0 cable makes it really fast.

The item does not work with my Windows 10 laptop. It was able to detect my drive but did not allow me to write or read my drive. Not useful and would not recommend. I'd say that you should just spend an extra 10 dollars if you're trying to use it for an old drive. If not just buy an external hard drive for 50 bucks.
