I ordered Rare Gold because I found out on the internet that it was Avon's replacement for Foxfire. I have received many compliments when wearing Rare Gold. I use it almost daily now Even though the scent does not last as long as I would like, that is not unusual for any perfume that I wear. I will continue to use it as one of my favorite scents.

Rare Gold is a very good parfum for its price point, but so are most B&BW body sprays. The peach note in Rare Gold is sweet, juicy, and verging on overripeness--the total opposite of the peach note in Mitsouko EdP which is much drier and greener to my nose. The ylang-ylang really compliments the peach and the various white flowers. It smells quite sweet, juicy, creamy, and well, luscious. Might it almost be a tropical? Possibly so. I do not detect much amber or sandalwood in Rare Gold. I get some sandalwood and vanilla in the deep dry down. I mainly perceive the peach, ylang-ylang, and various white flowers throughout. With four big sprays I get quite decent projection and sillage. Longevity is a solid 3+ hours before it begins to evolve into into a skin scent on me. If I only use two sprays, I do not get the projection, sillage or longevity I get with four, so I would say Rare Gold is not a parfum that is very easily over sprayed, but more than four good sprays would probably be a bit too much for most people. Rare Gold smells like a bit more expensive parfum than it is actually. It is really nice. At this price point, if you like these notes, I think you should try it. It is sweet, feminine, and sexy in an innocent sort of way. Think Mary Ann, not Ginger. Fragrance: 7.5/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 7.5/10 for the first two or three hours then 5/10 for another two to three hours. Projection: 7.5/10 for the first two or three hours then 5/10 for another two to three hours. Note: With rare exceptions, almost all contemporary fragrances lack sillage, projection, and longevity compared with vintage parfums of the '80s and earlier.Read full review

I bought this product for myself I heard that it smelled so good that I wanted to give it a try. I think this product smells so good it has a beautiful feminine smell that I just love also the bad thing that I don't like is that it comes in that small size I wish we had the option to buy a much bigger one so it will last longer will buy again.
I love this scent & so does everyone who smells it on me! I don't wear gold jewelry, so the name threw me off- but when I smelled it in an Avon book I had to order it! I tell people it's the only gold I wear. That was over ten years ago, and I'm still enjoying the fragrance. Everywhere I go, people always comment on it. I always let them in on the secret.
I got as gift for my mom and sister in law they love the smell of it and get compliments all the time :-)
