Plugged in...worried a little...but, it worked!
I appeared at first to require some sort of tiny PCI socket. However, it fit into one of the larger PCI sockets to fill less than half the socket contacts. I secured it in the larger PCI socket with the retaining screw, fired up my PC, the drivers installed, and it has worked since. A couple of pictures illustrating how it is supposed to fit into a PCI socket that appears to be the wrong size would have been very comforting. (Cannot post pictures in a review, or I would do it myself.) I was a little worried as I turned on my PC after installing the card, but everything I read said it should work. It does! Asus pci usb 3.1 card
Seems authentic to me and does what it is supposed to do. It seems to improve usb 3.0 transfer rates as well on my machine with my hardware. I should add that this is not a pcie card it is a something that needs a few more teeth in the slot which is usually open next to the pcie and video card slot.
