    Good quality but potential thread problem

    Ordered this for one of the new pattern Amal Monobloc carburettors. Unfortunately, although the bellmouth was well made and looked correct for my bike, its internal threads proved far too shallow to get a proper grip. Might be my pattern Amal was to blame - I had no original Amal to try it on, so couldn't tell which component was at fault. However, the issue is worth bearing in mind if you are looking to purchase one of these, particularly if your bike has a pattern replacement carburettor.
