I decided to buy it because it was the book prescribed for a new book club I am participating in. It is also a local author and I was interested in hearing about her story. Have not read it yet, can not attest to the content of the book.
I actually checked this book out at the library and loved all the recipes so much I decided I needed to own this one. What I love about the book is the chapters are not too long and each chapter ties into the recipe at the end of the chapter. I have made several of the recipes and they are great. The book is well written and very entertaining, you'll laugh and cry!
I am a loyal follower of Orangette, Molly's blog and the book was even more amazing. Her words and her recipes are equally delicious. I have already bookmarked recipes and used some excerpts from her writing! I recommend not reading on an empty stomach, you will drool enough on a full one!
Molly Wizenberg is honest and open in her writings, and very refreshing. The Winning Hearts and Minds chocolate cake is a new staple of mine, and all the other recipes I have made so far have been wonderful. I love how she ties memories to food, and then tells the reader exactly how to create the dish.
