Favorite new tool
This is currently my favorite new tool. It arrived sharp and it has remained sharp. I have only used it a few times. I don’t know how well it will take to a sharpening or how easy or difficult it will be to sharpen but it’s so inexpensive, I might just buy another one instead of sharpening it... when it comes to that. A knife that performs a multitude of tasks
This is a great idea. Merging a knife and wood chisel makes a wonderful wood working tool that can do a multitude of cutting tasks. This delightful knife and wood chisel combination is a performer. Shaping wood is just one of its many attributes. Having two precise cutting edges and two sharp piercing points makes it able to cut detailed shapes in wood or wood like materials. Honing the edge after use back to a razor sharp edge is as easy as it gets. The chisel blade shaves thin slices or peels large curls of wood depending on which side of the edge you chose. Sharp & well made
Had a knife some what like this one years ago for doing veneer work in my home wood shop. Haven't been able to find the original one for about a year, so when I came across this one I bought it. Very happy with the quality & workmanship. The plastic handle has a softer insert for grip that helps to control the blade at odd angles. Don't be afraid to apply a hammer wisely to the backbone of the blade, it can handle it. Works as both a chisel & a knife. The blade is "sharp" so keep it in the plastic sheath when no in use. Great tool!
Have not used yet so not sure about how well the edge stays sharp. Very pleased with the quality I can see. Extremely sharp edge, good grip and sheath with belt clip, and the knife clicks into the sheath. This tool would be good for a carpenter/woodworker (like myself), or a Carver.
