After shopping and shopping and shopping for a scale that could handle the packages that I send, I finally decided to do a food scale. This one really caught my eye because it has a charger plug with the charging wire so you don't have to keep on changing all the plugs out all the time. The measurements on here seem right on. I tested it with different size boxes and they were all within a tenth of an ounce. Way to go. Great job!

A Home Scale Worth Every Penny
Very pleased with this scale. Easy to use and very accurate. Worked right out of the box. I placed a letter I wanted to mail on it, and it weighed it as 2.5 oz. When I took the letter to the post office for mailing, their scale said the letter weighed 2.5 oz. That's good enough for me. Scale can weigh from 0.1 ounce all the way up to 55.0 pounds, so it can be used for larger packages as well as weighing food portions. Plus it has a "hold" feature that will keep the measured weight visible for about 5 seconds after you remove any item that extends past the viewing screen. It can also read in metric weights from 5 grams to 21.6 kg. Plus, for those of you who are foodies, there is also a Tare feature so you can place a bowl or similar container on it, and the scale will subtract its weight ... Very pleased with this scale. For both the price and the convenience, this is worth the price (I got mine for $23--and that included priority shipping).

Disappointed
Such a disappointment. I used the scale to weigh 3 small items and it worked fine. When trying to weigh the 4th item, also small, it started to act flaky. I had it in Ounce mode originally and it switched itself to Grams and would not let me change it back. It continued to flash in Gram mode and when I attempted to turn it off I got a C ERR message. I unplugged it and waited awhile before trying again and the same thing happened, except this time it continued to flash and wouldn't even let me turn it off. It's useless to me. Remarkable quality and features for the price
This is a great product for the price. For the average consumer that just wants to determine a shipping cost or the remaining fuel in a propane tank with 1 pound tare (empty) weight, the accuracy and features are remarkable. It undoubtedly is not designed for heavy duty commercial use demanding stringent accuracy tolerances and ruggedness, but it is perfect for my needs.

It is PURRFECT for mailing big bulky packages because once you put the item on the scale, it is able to provide the exact weight within a few seconds and 'holds' that number. Sometimes you are unable to see the weight because of the size of the package, but once your remove the package the weight in ounces, pounds, grams, or kilograms will remain on the viewing screen. It is a perfect product for that use. I use a scale for measuring food, for weighing grams of yarn and for making homemade suet, so the 'hold' button kept trying to determine the weigh continuously and 'freeze' the amount, when I was still trying to add flour or peanut butter or sugar to the amount in my recipe, so this particular scale did not work for my purposes. I would highly recommend it for others that want to ...
